My niece Chantae [Kim's oldest daughter], and yes she is older than me. Then my little sister, who is actually my only full-blood siobling [the others are technically half-sibs, but we dont play that in my fam]. She's holding  another one of my nieces, Kayli [Kim's younger daughter]. Then me!! Then my other niece Shana [Alan's daughter], who is also older than me. &&Finally little McKenzie, my great-niece [Shana's daughter].

It's pretty complicated, I know. But we all have so much love for one another. Sadly the occasion we were gathered for was my paternal grandmother's funeral. It was the first time we'd all ever been together in the same place at the same time. Needless to say, it really cheered my dad's spirits to have us all there. He did a pretty good job, dontcha think? :D

My grandma peaches passed away this morning. Right now Im kind of in that numb stage..it hasnt quite hit yet. The only time I really get upset is when Im alone and right before Im about to go to sleep.

She'd been sick for...I cant even recall how many years. At least she isnt suffering anymore.

My friends have been BEYOND amazing though. They all have been keeping me in high spirits. Especially KB. Everyone should have a friend like KB. I just cant even express how much she lifted my spirits today. I talk about her all the time, but she really is THAT amazing. My better half <3

I was planning on going home next wednesday for thanksgiving, but instead Im leaving wednesday [hopefully] to head back to nashville and then to memphis for the service on friday. Ill be home from the 17th to the 29th...crazy, huh? Im missing hella school, but it shouldnt hurt me too much. Tomorrow Ill talk to all my teachers about the situation, and hopefully we can come up with some alternatives or whatever.

Just please keep my family, especially my dad, aunt and uncles, and my papa joe in your prayers. This is the hardest for them.

happy [late] birthday!!

Yesterday, the 1st, was my daddy's birthday!!! I texted him as soon as I woke up with a birthday text. Its kinda sad not being home to tell him in person, but he knows how much I mean it. I miss and love him sooo much!! I love you daddy! :]

My cousin steve is pretty much like my brother. We have always been super close &&these past few years we've really bonded because he always vacations with us when we go, haha.

Then yall have heard me speak about my friend jewel who just graduated from howard. Ive known her for foreverrrr. Ive always looked up to her because she is such a leader &&is always on her shit.

Well back when those two were seniors in high school...so like 4 years ago...they started dating. They met through a competition they were both in at the time. When I found out they were going together I was superrr excited because I knew jewel was perrrfect for him. By the time they graduated, I was referring to her as my cousin in law because I just knew that they were going to stay together for a longggg time.

They both go off to college-jewel to dc, &&jr here in nashville. That first year being apart was really rough with them not being able to see each other but a few times during the school year...so sophomore year, they broke up &&started seeing other people. Even so, they still kept in touch and remained very good friends. &&Even when jr was going out on dates with other girls, he would tell me how much he missed jewel &&that he was gonna marry her one day. Im like, mhmm sure haha. But in the back of my mind I still had hope for them.

Last year, they stopped seeing other people &&started talking back serious again &&everything. It didnt surprise me, &&I was super happy about it. Jr would tell me time &&time again how he knew this was his wife &&didnt want no one else. Once agin, Id laugh it off, because they're still young and in school in stuff.

So about a week ago, jr tells me he's going to propose to her...soon. I was like whatttt? &&A few days later, he sends me a photo of a ring. So Im like, holy cow, he is serious. &&Some days later, we talked on the phone, &&he told me all his plans for how he was going to do so. Whats funny is that same morning when I went to lunch with jewel, she was saying how she thought her and jr were going to get engaged soon! I wanted to say something sooo bad, but obviously I kept quiet.

On friday, he proposed, &&obviously she said yes. I called them later on to congratulate them, &&I wanted to cry. Their relationship gives me hope for any of my future relationships honestly. If they can do it, anyone can...I mean talk about long distance!?! &&She's moving to cali next week! But I know without a shadow of a doubt they they will stay together, &&I look forward to the wedding :]

day 8;;worst day of my life.

The day my uncle died. I really dont want to go into much detail because I'll get all emotional, and my day started off realllly good today because of that guy down there [the post below this one], so Ill just leave it at that.

I love you uncle charlie. With all my heart and soul. &&I miss you everyday of my life. Thank you for everything. I know you're smiling down on all of us constantly. We will meet again :]

I was lucky enough to spend some much needed quality time with my girls yesterday. Mac is the cutest thing in the world. Shes a loner, just like I used to be! I slick still am a loner. I find myself going to eat or shopping all by myself all the time. Just like it better that way sometimes. Anyways, I'm getting off topic. Shana and Mac had to leave a few hours into my visit, so that was super depressing, but then Kayli took full advantage of having me to herself. Shes the smartest little girl I know. She had me reading to her and playing hide and seek and blowing bubbles...I was wore out. Then my sister came come so of course she ran off to mommy, lol. Then I was able to spend time with Chantae which is a very rare occurance that I definately enjoyed. Now that I'm older we can actually chill and talk about any and everything. &&We did. Mainly we compared sexy music videos and downloaded mixtapes. Shes the best, seriously. I have the best family in the world, I dont think yall understand lol. Loveeee them! <333

I totally keep forgetting about this! Yall dont understand, I havent seen my neice Shana in more than 10 years, and Ive yet to meet her daughter, my great neice Mckenzie. I AM SO EXCITED!

So yesterday I spent most of my day in the house chilling after I went out to get my TB skin test or whatever. So Im just napping in the sunroom, &&when my parents and sister come home they start asking me if Id been outside lately. I was like uhhh no? I went out there and look at what was waiting for me!!

My cousin apparently came by and did this for me! I was sooo surprised and grateful! Little things like that are what make me the happiest. :]

So I'm about to go out bowling with my friends, and my parents call me into the sunroom to show me something. I'm over here thinkin, will they hurry up?! Then my sister starts acting all weird, and suddenly pulls out this huge box with dell printed on the front. I started freaking out because I knew exactly what it was! I wasnt expecting to get it until much later in the summer, like right before I leave for dc, so this really came as a huge surprise! Its beautiful :] &&Its lime green as opposed to yellow [which they dont make anymore], but Im actually glad I got the green, I think its gorgeousss! Ive been customizing and setting up stuff on it all night! Im seriously in love with it!! Im sooo lucky to have such wonderful parents, they are the BEST!

This right here would be Faith, my adorable baby cousin. Except that she really isnt a baby anymore, because today she turns 3!

I remember the day when she was born. I was at a girl scout meeting [dont judge me :P], and I had gotten a text. I opened it to find an adorable picture of a wittle bitty baby, and I instantly knew who it was. I checked the voicemail left by her brother to get the hospital room number, and we rushed up there right away. She was so little! Just a hour or two old.

&&Now she is a HANDFUL! This girl is way too smart, like it legit scares me. Such a diva, too. But I love her, and look forward to watching her grow.

rip uncle charlie.

I guess I should first say happy april everyone! &&No this isnt an april fool's post :P

But uhmmm. Yeah.

So yesterday when I was picked up from school, I learned that my uncle had passed away. &&This isn't like one of those family members I wasn't close with or never saw or talked to...we were really close. Saw him at least once a week. The past 2 weeks he had been in the hospital, but I didnt realize how serious everything was until...yesterday really. He died from multiple complications that he had been struggling with for years, but none of us knew about them until he finally got super sick a few weeks ago. He was really quiet, and later said that he didnt want to worry any of us with his problems.

I just wish he would have spoken up.

Obviously, I'm hurt. This is only the second time a very close family member has passed away. But never would I have guessed that my uncle would be the next to go. Parents arent supposed to bury thier children, but now my grandparents have to bury thier oldest son. It kills me to see them hurting. But overall, everyone is doing well and we're all sticking together.

I think one thing that really makes all this worse is that my uncle did so much for me over my lifetime. Just little, fun things. Like teaching me to whistle at age 2...buying the best christmas gifts for me each year...and most recently fixing my hooptie of a car for free. This past christmas, my sister and I got him one of those recordable cards, and it took us probably an hourrrr to get it right! Hah. &&My mama told me to write him a thank you note for fixing up my car for me...

I never got around to it.

If I could just say one last thing to him, it would be thank you. I hate that I wasnt able to in person. But I know he's looking down on all of us smiling and laughing :D

He will truly be missed.

For those nashvillians out there that watch channel 2 news, you may have seen the tribute they had for him on there. He was a big part of the news 2 family. I'll post either the video or the link to it later.

But please keep my family in your prayers...and my dad, who is going into surgery tomorrow.

I have three beautiful neices and one great neice. &&I love them all dearly.

Chantae;; This girl right here could kinda be considered my big sister. She's 6 years older than me, so we kinda grew up together more like siblings than aunt and neice, obviously :P. She's gorgeous. Like super pretty. People see pictures of her in my wallet and be like DANGGG, who is that?! Haha. She's an aspiring fashion desginer, and I can definately see her going very far in life. I love that girl. She toooo real bruh.

Kayli;; This girl right here is my heart [see my other post about her here]. When I say she is the most precious, adorable, beautiful little girl in the world, I mean it. With all my heart. I was nervous when I first met her, because I didn't know if she was gonna be open with me and whatnot. But after a few minutes of typical toddler shyness, we became best friends! Yes, my best friend is my two year old neice. She is sooo much fun to be around, and really is super grown for her age. I can talk to her like someone my age. Yall be watching out for her in magazines and commercials and catalouges...cause she's gonna be a star...just like her middle name Starr implies :] I love my babygirl.

Shana;; I've never been really close to Shana-she's older than me also and lives and Memphis, so I haven't seen her...since elementary school. But thanks to facebook, we've been able to reconnect! Hopefully she will be able to come up for my graduation so I can see her! I look forward to becomming closer as we both get older! Love you Shana!

McKenzie;; My first great neice, thanks to Shana! I haven't met this little bundle of joy, but I can't wait to! SHE IS ADORABLE! Such a sweetheart, from what I hear :]. I just like looking at her...but I mean, you can't blame me! Auntie loves you Kenzie :-*
