up all night...

I basically never sleep. Last night was no exception. Me and ashley were up, when some dumb broad decides to pull the fire alarm at 4am for reasons unknown to me. We were hella salty. And had to stand outside in the cold for about 40 mins while we waited for the fire dept -___-

Anywaydoe, before the madness occured, I was bored and taking pictures on my webcam...

That last one was a real life laugh, by the way. I had pressed the button and ashley said something off the wall, as usual, lmao.

&&here I am now, as in I just took these pictures like two minutes ago. Jenna and I are attempting to study for our test tmr =/

You can see I finally put my snug earring back in. I had taken it out because I lost the ball, and I didnt have anything in it for about 2 months. Needless to say when I tried and put another barbell in today, it wasnt going. I had to re-pierce it myself. It was nasty, but it really didnt hurt too bad. Now I just need another earring for my rook, which I know isnt closed.

Speaking of piercings, my next one, if I decide to get another one, will be a tongue web [google it] !!! But as of now, Im satisfied with the 14 piercings I currently have :]

miss me?

I apologize for the lack of blogging these past few months. School took over my life!! Especially these last two months, with me trying to get my life together for finals. I'm going to actually try to start posting a lot more often though; I slick miss this blog.


Anyway, speaking on the subject of school, I had a great first semester of college! I go to Howard University, for those who may not know, so needless to say, I've been shaking it!! I had soo much fun and met so many great new friends this semester! We partied just about every weekend, but somehow always managed to keep up with our school work. Thats one thing I love about our school. We party HARD, but our grades still reflect our intelligence. It took alot of all-nighters [and by all nighters, I mean literally staying up all night and day with NO sleep] and group study sessions, but we did it!! I'm happy to say that my GPA this semester was a gorgeous 3.57 :D !!!


I'm super excited about the classes I'm taking next semester. My schedule is kinda rediculous, but I think I can pull it off...shit, imma have to! Aint no choice! I have a scholarship to maintain! Hopefully everyone else did well in school this semester as well, high school or college or whatever you do lol.


I wish I had pictures to post, but I really dont. I haven't been taking many this semester for whatever reason, but imma try to change that this upcoming year. I really want a new camera though, so I guess that's why Ive been holding out...hah. That's dumb. Whatever.

English class at this point has GOT to be the most pointless thing in the world. Ive taken english every fucking year of my life since 1st grade. IM PRETTY DAMN SURE I KNOW HOW TO SPEAK AND WRITE PROPER ENGLISH BY NOW! Why the FUCK are we required to take this dumb ass class year after year? Ive learned all I can from that class; Im ready to move on dammit! It would be different if I was an english major or some shit, but IM NOT.

Obviously, Im frustrated. Im up writing a dumb ass paper when I could be sleeping. Eff. I hate writing papers with a passion. Even though Im a beast at bullshitting, I dont enjoy it. Waste of time. I have other things to do. Im just ready to finish this bullshit. UGH!

• this blog is slickkk a fail. i never update it anymore, or atleast not regularly, &&no one has time to look at it because everyone is busy with school. soo if i stop posting all together one day, just find me on tumblr, which ill never leave :]
• school is great, midterms just ended, i got all satisfactories for my classes and im on the right track!
• blue crew will be travelling to north carolina on friday and staying for the weekend for a football game...needless to say im hypeee!
• thanksgiving is quickly approaching! im soooo ready to get back to nashville. i miss home like shit.
• i came across the andinkra symbols of west africa while on tumblr...and now i want all of them tatted on me...actually there are three that im gonna get down my spine.
• im officially broke...and i honestly dont know how im going to survive next week.
• but i am very excited about homecoming being next week! its going to be soo live.

Words of Wisdom.

For the highschool seniors out there, a few tips from a college freshman that should be helpful:

• As far as selecting the school you'd like to attend, just be sure it fits YOU. Dont go to a school for reasons like its repuation for partying or because its in an exciting city [sounds like howard, huh? haha], but instead, do your research and look for things that have to do with your academic success, since that is what college is primarily about. Does it offer the major that you'd like to pursue? If not, does it have a close alternative? Can you afford it? Which leads me to my next point...
• College is not cheap. AT ALL. Like...no where near. Nothing is cheap. Living on your own is not the business. Right now, deadass, I have $30 to my name...thats counting whats in my bank account. So if you have a job, SAVE THAT MONEY. Save damn near all of it. Think about it, on top of tuition and other college costs, which for me totals around 18,000 per academic school year, you have to buy stuff for your dorm. Then, of course you want to spruce up for wardrobe. Then once you actually get to college, you have food costs, which are the killer for me [i just ordered take-out as im typing this], transportation costs [since freshman cant have cars in majority of colleges], partying costs, and lord knows what else. It sucks. It really does :[
• College professors dont care if you come to class...they really dont. But dont let that hinder your success. College is all about self-motivation, so sharpen up those skills NOW so it wont be a problem later.
• You will miss your family once you move out, trust me. Moving away for college is one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do. Think about it, once you go off to college, you slickkk officially dont live with your parents anymore...you just visit for the summer, really. Thats sad as fuck. Cherish this last year you have at home, YOU WILL MISS IT. I promise you will. Saying goodbye sucks :[
• Stay out of trouble this year/summer...it would suck if you couldnt get into the college of your choice for a stupid mistake you made while out with your friends. Just be careful!!!

Those are the main things I can think of...hope they help someone out there! haha

• I won the historian position for my floor! &&im running for historian for the entire quad as we speak!
• I went to the zoo yesterday!!
• Howard football team won its first game of the season yesterday!!
• Im a faithful participant in fucked up fridays...got a lil sum sum in my fridge as we speak.
• Im going thrifting today!!!!!

quick update of my classes and whatnot...cuz im bored.

Psych: Love this class, the teacher is a trip. Very interesting and SUPER easy for me since this class and my human development class go hand in hand. Only dislike is the fact that its my 8.10 class. But, its not terrible in that aspect.

Freshman Comp: I hated this class at first, but it gets better everyday. As we speak, Im supposed to be writing my first paper for it :P. Veryyy small class, we do alot of discussing. This is going to be a veryyyy easy A :]

Choir: Basically our choir director is the cutest thing ever :] Hes a little old man who talks hella bad to us then expresses his love for us all in the same hour. Our first performance is next friday at our convocation, &&he already has tours planned out for us! Its gonna be a great year, I can tell already.

Freshman Orientaion: I still see no purpose of this class, but whatever, another easy A...even though I missed the first assignment :P. Its a fresh o. especially for human development majors, so its cool getting to meet my fellow school of e peers!

Basic math: Another easy A. Im slick becoming a teachers pet unintentionally because Im like the only person in this 4-5 person class [no bullshit, thats how many of us there are on average...never more than 5] who actually gives a shit and does my work constantly. Its hella boring though, but its a breeze.

Life Sci: This is going to be my problem class. Both of my teachers [lecture and lab] have heavy ass accents and are NOT good teachers...mainly my lecture teacher, which is the more important one. &&Everyone knows that Im noooo good at science, so Im already struggling. Ugh! But imma try to keep up best I can.

Human development: Definately my most interesting class. Ive already learned so much. Sometime the teacher can be really boring, but I try to look past that and focus on the material...then the class becomes fun. Another easy class :]

&&Besides my classes, Ive been super busy with blue crew and Im about to start getting involved with various orgs around campus, including the school of education student council. I love how busy I am! &&Yet I still have time to party and whatnot on the weekends! This is seriously the life! :]

damn snooze button.

Yesterday I overslept for  my 8.10 class. I was soooo disappointed in myself. I dont know how I even did it! Ive started taking my showers at night so that I can sleep an extra 30 mins in the morning, &&I set all of my stuff out for the next day so that all I have to do is brush my teeth, wash up, throw on the clothes and go...smh. Thing is, I woke up on time! I just happened to go back to sleep...&&woke up ten minutes after the class had already started. What makes it worse it that I set 5 freaking alarms. Two on my alarm clock radio &&three on my phone...&&I still didnt get up. I actually would have gone to class, but its only 50 minutes long, &&I wasnt about to go just to sit in there for like 15 mins...no deal. But luckily it was only psych, &&we dont do anything in that class but take notes, &&I didnt miss a quiz or anything. My girl raessa got my back &&is gonna let me copy her notes! Hah, she was in the same predicament last week &&I had to help her out. So this morning, I got up at 6.45...just for the heck of it. My first class today isnt until 9.40, but Im gonna try to get my body adjusted to waking up at this time everyday...&&this way ill be able to always get breakfast! Lol.

College life is rough.

Sooo umm yeah, school is wonderful. Happy that its fridayyy! Fucked up friday, to be exact ;] bow!!! Not sure exactly what Im getting into tonight...tyga is in town! I realllly want to go see him, but I have no idea where he is going to be. We trying to see travie mccoy tomorrow too. &&Ive heard rumors that mr steal yo girl himself may make an appearance on campus this weekend...he and monica perform here tmr on their tour. I was supposeeeed to be going, but never got around to buying tickets, and now they cost almost 80 a pop. No bueno. Im literally a broke college student. I have no money. Im not exaggerating. Well, maybe a little...since I am going to the mall after class today with the trio :]

Ohhh, another thing thats new and that Im excited about- So a group of freshman dudes with the help of a few seniors put together this spirit group called blue crew...so of course I joined!! They need my loud ass!! Wednesday our girls had their first home volleyball game, and the crew went and got that shit hype! I cant imagine how itll be for the bball and football games! Basically you pay a $40 fee and you get to go to ALL of the home and select away games for the freeski...all you pay for out of your pocket is food. Its almost too good to be true! Im so excited...yall be on the lookout for us if yall play us in any sport...because we WILL be there. Track, swimming, bball, soccer, alllll that. BLUE CREW :D !!!

Okay, thats enough of my rambling...I dont have much to say anymore because for english we're required to write a journal entry everyday...so all of my good thoughts go there. Lo siento :[ Ill try to do better :]

last day of august.

I cant believe september is here already!! But then again, I feel like Ive been here all my life. Like I feel like I grew up here...&&it seems like Ive known the new people Ive met for years. Ive really clicked with alot of great people; I loveee my new friends! We have soo many inside jokes already, &&its obvious that we're rubbing off on each other. I hope we remain close throughout the next few years! Im just loving life right now, cant even lie. No stress my way! Handling my business in these easy ass classes, &&partying on the weekend. Its the life! Im soo anxious to get more involved though. We have out organization fair on thursday, so Im super excited to learn about all there is to do here on campus. I know for sure I want to get involved in the student government and anything involving community service, especially at the childrens hospital across the street!! Ill keep you guys posted :]

things have gotten out of hand.

The majority of my time this week was dedicated to school shopping. But uhm...things have kinda taken a turn for the worst lol.

&&This isnt even everything. There are shopping bags lying all around my house. Our kitchen table cannot be eaten on as of right now. The family room downstairs looks like a freaking storage unit. Not to mention I still have to purchase my mini fridge.

My whole family is going up to dc with me, &&we are DRIVING. Efff. Haha. 12 hours of pure bliss, right? But basically the question now is, where the hell is all of this stuff gonna fit in the car? Because they gonna have luggage too! Pretty sure we're renting a uhaul. Like, am I overpacked? Hahahah. I feel like I have sooo much shit, but its not like Im just buying stuff for fun! This is stuff I seriously need. Oh geeze.

I just wanna be successful...

Today, I have gotten so much accomplished. This is a big deal for me, because most of the time I just sit around at home as if I have nothing to do. But today I got up off my ass and made some things happen! Hah. Actually all Ive done is FINALLY go get my big girl license [I had my intermediate restricted license since sophomore yr :P], &&finalize some stuff with howard regarding my financial aid, &&I finally got to register for my last class!

Speaking of classes, I have a whopping 17 HOURS this semester. So I mighttt die. Im taking intro to psychology, freshman composition, freshman orientation seminar for human development, intro to early childhood education, life sciences, choir, &&heres the kicker...basic math II :|. Like forreal?!? Haha, we had to take a math placement test, &&let me just say I BOMBED that hoe. Like, it was terrible. But I dont think its fair, because I took discrete this past yr, which includes nooo kind of algebra or precal or calc type stuff at all. So all those skills are VERY fuzzy :P. So yeah, Im in the retard class, but its all good! Guaranteed A :D !! Hahaha! But yeah, yall pray for me. My days are going to be jammm packeddd!!!

In all the hype about trying to get stuff for my dorm room, I had completely forgotten about actual school supplies! I usually never shop for school supplies because my mama is a teacher and always has anything I need. But this time around, I needed allll new stuff, just for me!

So me and mama went to target first...I didnt get much there just a fan and a piggy bank lol...but then we hit up wally world! Let me tell you, we bought out the store. Like seriously. I could start a school with the amount of stuff I got! Hah! Not really, but I got hella supplies. Imma be tooo set. For some reason, Ive always gotten a kick out of back to school shopping, so needless to say I had alot of fun picking out stuff. I hope my roomate doesnt mind pink :P All my shit is pink and black!!

Bascially, Im set. I just need toiletries &&snacks, which Ill buy the week I leave. &&Clothes :] Not that I need anymore, but I gots money to blowww :]

last night.

I graduated. The whole night seemed like a dream. It was truly an amazing night. Knowing that I'm done with highschool forever is the best feeling in the world, seriously. Especially since I went to a magnet high school, specifically the number one school in TN :]. So graduating means a trillion times more to me and my class. These past four years were far from easy and super stressful. &&Now I can finally breathe again!

One thing that surprised me though was that I didnt cry one bit the whole night! I thought I would be a wreck with makeup smeared all over my face and whatnot, but I didnt shed a tear! I guess thats because I know I still have a little bit of time left to spend with my family and friends before I move away. The day I move, it'll all finally hit me, &&its gonna be baddd :[ But until then, I'm making the most of every single day this summer!

AHH! In a few hours I will be heading to graduation practice! Can you say surreal?! In a way I slick feel like Ive already graduated, I guess because allll of my other friends at other schools have at this point. But finally its gonna be our day! Im sooo ready for it! Its crazy because I remember back in 6th grade thinking, I still have 6 more years of school left! &&At the time that seemed like an eternity! But here we are, and Im graduating tmr. Crazy how time flies. Especially this year. It seemed like we were just getting started when all of a sudden here come ap tests and final exams.

&&Apparently Im getting honored at the senior awards ceremony thats being held after practice. Ive been racking my brain trying to figure out what theee heck I could be getting honored for. Hah! Im not the best student in the world, and thats for damn sure. My grades were slick atrocious this past nine weeks. Bet its gonna be something super random. Ah well, guess I'll see! I still think it was a mistake, lol.

Ahhh man, its gonna be a cry fest tomorrow, I know that for sure :[[[ But I'm ready for it!
