I finally went up to hooters and applied. Not to be pessimistic, but Im not necessarily counting on being hired :[ I mean of course I have the personality and people skills and body for the job, lol, but my looks arent necessarily "all american". Haha, I have a faux hawk, 9 piercings in my ears, and a tat on my back. They manager who I spoke to seemed to like me, but he also mentioned that alot of other girls had recently applied. Not only that, but I have no prior job experience AND I dont have an abc card [the certification to serve alcohol or whatever]. But hopefully in the short time that we spoke, my personality shined through enough to convince him to hire me! If not, I'll go to my second choice which is applebees. Sighhhh. I must be cursed or something because it should NOT be this hard to get a job. Yall pray for me :P

Ive been scammed. I feel like a dumbass. Hah. Well I was about to be scammed.

A fellow blogger left me a comment on my post talking about my job interview tmr, saying it sounded like the vector market scam. I was like hmmm, what would make her say that? Because I didnt even mention the company name. So I did my research. Basically its a real job, but the way they run their company is where the problem lies. I have to pay for the products that I sell from the get-go, and that costs about $150. &&They dont reemburse for transportation costs for appointments. &&Alotta other stuff. This apparently has been going on for quite a while now, and tons of students just like me have been affected. Im so glad I looked that shit up! I woulda been working damn near 70 hours a week doing some shit that didnt even pay that good. UGH. Back to square one for my job search. First I need to clear some things up though, or no one will want to hire me, hah! But uhmm yeah, vector will be getting a nasty call from me in the morn :]

I have a job interview tomorrow!!

Yall dont understand how excited I am. Im trying not to get overly excited, since theres no guarantee that Ill get the job, but I am feeling very good about it. Its a local marketing company, so that means bigggg money. Im talking 15 bucks an hour. &&I need all the money for school I can get at this point. I really hope I get it though. Itll give me something productive to do during the summer besides partying my ass off constantly :P

&&the search continues...

So I almost got a job today. Except almost doesnt count :[ So it sucks!

Basically I was going to work as a councelor at a children's summer camp for about a month and a half. &&I was gonna pretty much be a shoo in because of all of the connections I have with the people that work there. But starting this summer, they decided not to hire councelors my age [18], saying that we were too close in age to the kids at the camp, so there would be issues with us trying to tell them what to do, and them not listening. So I'm pretty sad, not gonna lie. I already have a once a week volunteer job lined up for me at Vanderbilt Children's...but its VOLUNTEER, not paid. Dont get me wrong tho, I loveeee kids and have no problem working for free...but a sista is broke ova heaa!

But all hope is not lost! I still may be able to get a job at a daycare center! But the lady neverrr returns my calls :[ I mean I understand she may be busy and has a family and everything...but its really starting to piss me off. &&If that doesnt work out, imma try the new frozen yogurt place down the street from me. The search never ends.

I can only hope for the best!
