Just a better view of the outfit I had on the other day...[idk why its flipped...lol]

The earrings are sooo cute, I wish you could see them better. They're like little coins...got em from a thrift store. DC thrift stores are like the size of department stores and have the BEST jewelry selection. Love it! The lace shirt is one of my favorite articles of clothing I own. Its obviously sheer, but I can still wear it with only a bra and not have to worry about looking half naked...as I did this day. I got it from taget. The denim vest is my favorite outfit putter-together. I can throw it on over anything and it just completes it! The wash is perfect, and its sized just right. This was also thrifted from DC, along with the 3 broaches on the pocket, which I just think are the best things ever. The neckalace and the green cargo pants i had on were from forever 21, and I had on my burlap toms, which are sadly falling apart already [I wear them almost everyday].

they have coral....CORAL IS MY FAVORITE COLOR. and they have these AHHHHDORABLE crochet ones. My mom said she'd get me the crochet ones once I clean my room :D ahaha! But she's serious.

I'm so sick of my city.

I dont know where this hate came from so suddenly, but I want to get out of this city for good.

It has NOTHING to offer me anymore. This has become especially clear since going to school in DC.

I go to school in DC, and my eyes are opened. I'm meeting people from all over the nation and the world, I'm being exposed to new music, food, dances, fashion, slang, languages, etc.

I come back home, and what do I find??

....nothing of substance.

Niggas still fighting, shooting, acting coonish, having kids before they can even graduate highschool...I could go on and on.

It's just sickening to me, honestly.

These kids need to get out of Tennessee. Experience something new.

I feel bougie. *shrug*

The ONLY thing that's gonna keep me coming back home is Vandy and Room in the Inn.

If it werent for that, I would definitely spend my summers at Howard. Smh...

Sorry I've been MIA! The last post I did was the day I moved out of my dorm, and ever since I've been home I've been constantly on the go. Anways...

Day 11-How I feel about my body image blahblah...

I actually love my body, even though I can be very self-conscious about it sometimes. And of course, I'm trying to better it this summer. I wanna lose my gut...that's it. I'd be devastated if I lost my butt! Hah. But basically, if I can lose about 10 pounds this summer, I'd be extremely content.

What I ate today:

Hah, its funny that you ask that. Well I'm currently in the process of moving out of my dorm room...I leave thursday. So I had to unplug my microfridge bout halfway through the day on tuesday so I can let it defrost. Before that, I ate some pizza rolls with ranch and two pieces of leftover fried chicken. I drank the rest of my orange peach mango juice, and later finished half a bottle of frozen water. I later happened to find some ritz crackers under my bed, and proceeded to eat those with the only other food item I had left to my name, which was a jar of peanut butter. How pitiful hahaha. BUT my dad comes today, and he can feed me :)

How important is education:

Honestly, education is everything. Your education will define your life, in most cases. Some people have very successful lives who didnt go to college, but everyone just isnt that lucky. The people who did make it big in live sans college are usually born into families with old money or are naturally extremely talented at what they do. Well thats just my opinion. But then again, college isnt for everyone, nor is it necessary for every occupation. I guess it just depends on what you want to do with your life. But whatever, whats really important is educating the children. EVERYONE should graduate high school. That right there is an important issue, because so many kids dont for so many reasons. Hopefully when I become a teacher, I'll be able to inspire my students in ways that will encourage them to stay in school.
